Joanne McMurtrie has been nationally certified as a holistic nurse and Healing Touch practitioner and instructor.

Joanne has experienced many areas of nursing in her career including medical, surgical, mental health, administration, recruitment, and program development of wellness clinics.

She currently has a private practice in Healing Touch, sound therapy and wellness promotion.  Joanne's practice also includes distance healing.  Joanne teaches Healing Touch in private classes as well as in local colleges and therapeutic massage schools.

Joanne's background in energy therapies includes the study of cranio-sacral, Reiki, Bioenergy, medical intuitive training,  sound therapy/tuning forks as well as Healing Touch and Healing Touch for Animals.

Her memberships include the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA), Healing Touch Professional Association,  and the Holistic Health Network.  Joanne has served as Vice President of the Holistic Health Network and continues to serve on that board.  She has also served a state coodinator for the AHNA  in Virginia.  Joanne served on the Certification Review Panel for Healing Touch and continues to mentor students through their Healing Touch certification process.

Joanne also coordinates workshops in the Charlotte area such as Healing Touch, Healing Touch for Animals, Bioenergy, Heart of the Matter and Sound Therapy.

Joanne is very interested in integrative therapies and knows first hand how well the energy work compliments conventional healthcare.
